He dies on 23 December 2022 age of 87 at his residence in Hyderabad. Kaikala was an Indian actor, producer, director, and politician who predominantly worked in the Telugu film industry. Satyanarayana appeared in over 750 films. Kaikala also served as the Member of Parliament in the 11th Lok Sabha representing the Machilipatnam constituency from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

Satyanarayana’s demise is a big blow to the Telugu film industry. His fans and celebrities are paying tribute to him on social media platforms.

He is the recipient of the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award in 2011, and the Filmfare Award for lifetime achievement in Telugu cinema in 2017.
