Bungie is drastically changing the way Anti-Champion mods work in Destiny 2 Lightfall. Here's everything you need to know about it.

The Lightfall expansion is bringing a lot of necessary changes and welcome additions to Destiny 2. From a new Strand subclass to overhauled mod customizations, there are a ton of things to look forward to.
Now just a few weeks before the launch of Destiny 2 Lightfall, Bungie has revealed via its TWAB post some of the changes that fans should expect in Year 6. It includes some much-needed tweaks to Anti-Champions mods. Here's how Anti-Champion Mods will work in Destiny 2 Lightfall.
All Anti-Champion Mods Changes in Destiny 2 Lightfall
Firstly, Artifact mods are being converted into Artifact Perks. It means post-Lightfall players won't have to equip Artifact mods on their armor slots. Instead, once these are unlocked, they will be available readily throughout the season.
Since Anti-Champion mods come under Artifact mods, these changes are coming to them as well. Fans have long complained about the atrocities of champion mods and how infuriating it is to swap them for every activity.
Once Lightfall arrives, players won't have to worry about going back and forth between Champion mods. Nor will they have to worry about losing armor slots since Champion perks won't be slottable.
Does this mean a player can have all three champion mods - Anti-Barrier, Anti-Overload, Anti-Unstoppable, and Anti-Overload - active at a time? No. Bungie has confirmed that players won't be able to unlock them all at the same time. In fact, players can only have 12 active perks at a time. Thankfully, they can reset their Artifact at any time for free.
How To Stun Champions Using Subclasses in Destiny 2 Lightfall
Aside from using Anti-Champion mods or perks, Bungie is introducing other ways to stun Champions, most notably via Subclasses. Come Lightfall; every subclass will be able to counter different Champion types.
Barrier Champions (Solar, Void, and Strand)
Void players can stun Barrier Champions using Volatile Rounds, whereas Solar players, when Radiant, can use any attack to stun them. As of this writing, Bungie has not revealed how Strand can be used to counter Barrier Champions.
Overload Champions (Arc, Stasis, and Void)
Stasis players can stun Overload Champions by slowing them from Stasis, whereas Arc players can stun them from their attacks after making them Jolted. Additionally, void players can stun them from their attacks after making them Suppressed.
Unstoppable Champions (Arc, Solar, Stasis, and Strand)
Likewise, Arc players can stun Unstoppable Champions by blinding them, whereas Solar players can stun them from Solar Ignition. On the other hand, Stasis players can stun Unstoppable Champions by encasing them in Stasis crystals. As of this writing, Bungie has not revealed how Strand can be used to counter Unstoppable Champions.
