CASCADE, Idaho (CBS2) — According to a Facebook post, the Valley County Sheriff's Office received a report about a snowmobile incident on Lake Cascade near Sugarloaf on Monday.
The snowmobile went through the ice yesterday after crossing an ice bath that had not frozen yet. The sled's weight caused it to break, putting the rider in danger.
The Sheriff's Office says Valley County's lakes are not only for recreation but also a route for locals and visitors traveling to other areas to enjoy winter riding.
Everyone is asked to remember that a lack of responsibility could become a life-or-death situation.
